Nearmedic presents new test systems and equipment at the all-Russia forum

On August 11-13, 2020, the Nearmedic group took part in the all—Russia forum Health of the Nation as the Basis of Russia’s Prosperity. Presented at the company’s booth were new developments in the field of rapid diagnostics of viral diseases, including COVID-19, as well as general laboratory equipment.

The Nearmedic group presented short-term tests for the detection of antibodies to the SARS-COV-2 virus in serum, plasma, and whole blood. These allow one to determine, within 15 minutes, the qualitative presence in the blood of IgM and IgG immunoglobulins for coronavirus infection.

At the company’s booth, one could also get acquainted with the high-precision test system for COVID-19 diagnostics using the PCR method, developed by biotechnological company Sistema-Biotech and produced by Nearmedic Plus. The analysis takes about two hours plus the time required for sample preparation. The diagnostic sensitivity of this test system is close to 100%, and the system does not give false positive response to other viruses.

Also introduced to visitors of the exhibition was the general laboratory equipment supplied to the Russian market by Nearmedic: biological safety boxes, anti-plague clothing and isolation systems which enjoyed increased demand in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

«In the context of the new epidemiological reality, we at Nearmedic are well aware of the need to respond promptly to the needs of medicine in new developments, in the most up-to-date and accurate technologies and equipment. Therefore, we try to saturate the market with a wide range of products in different price categories — from diagnostic tests to rehabilitation equipment,» commented Elena Ivanova, a leading specialist of the Nearmedic group’s General Laboratory Equipment Department.

The all-Russia forum Health of the Nation as the Basis of Russia’s Prosperity is one of the largest health-related events, which attracted more than 15,000 visitors this year. Participants of the forum were institutions under the Ministry of Health of Russia, representatives of the FMBA, FOMS, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, as well as representatives from the country’s regions. This forum became the first specialized congress and exhibition event in the field of health care, which was held offline in Moscow after the lifting of restrictive measures.
